The National Aquatic Centre serves as a venue for sports expertise to meet the needs of swimming and other aquatic events. The constructions are in accordance with the rigorous standards and regulations set by the International Swimming Federation (FINA) with the whole area covering about 28,000 square meters. The Floating dome concept measures 7,500 square meters with a weight of 14 tons and has the following facilities.

The Olympic-size swimming pool has 10 lanes with a depth of 2-3 meters. The diving pool equipped with a tower with 3 platforms at heights of 5m, 7.5m and 10m plus 3 springboards at 3m high and 1 at 1m high. There are also 6 practice springboards at 1m high. This pool has a depth of 5 meters. The Swimming Training Pool has 8 lanes and a variable depth from 0.0m to 1.8m. The pool is equipped with moveable floor system from Holland.

The temperature controlled water for all pools is purified using the latest ozone water treatment system. New distinct façade offering a generous shaded entrance space with a fabric roof and glass curtain wall to allow more daylight.

The competition and diving pools are equipped with underwater viewing panels for underwater video coverage. LED scoreboard, SEIKO timing and results. The 95dB sound and infra-systems using LED are fitted below the roof. The LED system has been adjusted to reduce glare illuminates up to levels of 1,500 lux over the competition and diving pools.
